Your business is solo. Your planning doesn't have to be.

Solo Together is a three-day planning annual retreat for coaches built around something we don’t get enough of when we work for ourselves: real time away from the day-to-day to think about our businesses. It’s a chance to step back, look at the bigger picture, and do it surrounded by smart, thoughtful people.

It’s intentional time to reflect on the year behind you, think about what you want next, and actually make a plan for getting there. There’s dedicated solo time to do your own reflection and planning, along with plenty of “together” time to share ideas, get new perspectives, and get coaching on your biggest challenges.

And of course, we make plenty of room for everything else, too. Good food. Meditation. Movement. Time outside. Long conversations. Laughing. Exploring. Lounging by the pool.

Think of it as equal parts planning, connection, and really good long weekend.

Imagine...

It’s November 8….you’re clear on what you want, what’s worth continuing, what you want to do differently, and what you’re ready to leave behind.

You’ve made space for the bigger questions that are almost impossible to answer when you’re bouncing between client work, marketing, admin, and everything else it takes to run a business.

The ideas that have been swirling around in your head for months aren’t just ideas anymore.

And you’ve turned all of that into a clear roadmap for 2027, with priorities you believe in and a plan for moving your life and business forward.

Instead of spending the holidays with I really need to figure out next year hanging over your head, you can actually enjoy the end of the year knowing exactly where you’re headed.

You feel lighter, more confident, and excited about what you’re building. And you have new friends in your corner who understand what it’s like to build something of your own and are cheering you on while you make it all happen.

Sound like a pretty good way to head into 2027?

Why Solo Together?

Because working for yourself shouldn’t mean figuring everything out by yourself.

People inside companies get leadership teams, strategy sessions, planning days, offsites, colleagues to bounce ideas off of.

When you work for yourself, you’re often the strategist, the decision-maker, the person doing the work, and the person responsible for figuring out what comes next.

There’s rarely anyone telling you to stop. To zoom out. To question whether the thing you’ve been working so hard on is still the thing you want to build.

Solo Together creates that space, with purpose.

What Makes Solo Together Different?

small on purpose

There’s room for everyone.

Solo Together is intentionally intimate, giving us time to really dig in, do meaningful work together, and make sure everyone’s questions and ideas get the attention they deserve.

we actually do the work

You won’t leave with a longer to-do list.

This isn’t three days of talking about what you should do when you get home. You’ll have dedicated time to reflect, make decisions, work through real questions, and actually build your plan while you’re here.

Built for Connection

We make room for the good stuff, too.

We’ll get plenty done, but you’re not coming to Phoenix to sit in a chair for three straight days. We’ll get outside, eat well, have fun, and make space to recharge too.

Is Solo Together for You?

Solo Together is designed for people who work for themselves, whether you’ve been at it for years or are still figuring out exactly what your business looks like.

You’ll probably feel right at home if…

  • You spend a lot of your time focused on other people. Clients, customers, teams, communities…and your own business doesn’t always get the same attention.

  • You are the business (or pretty darn close). The ideas, decisions, strategy, marketing, delivery, and everything in between ultimately comes back to you.

  • You have plenty of ideas, but not always enough space to think about them. You want time to zoom out and decide what actually deserves your energy.

  • You care about building something that works for your life, not just on paper. You’re thinking about what you want your business to make possible, not only how big you can make it.

  • You like thinking with other people. You’re open to sharing what you’re working through, hearing different perspectives, asking good questions, and contributing to the room.

  • You want to make real progress without making the whole weekend about work. You’re equally up for digging into a planning session, getting outside, sharing a meal, and having a really good conversation.

Our Home for the Weekend

For three nights, we’ll have a beautiful Phoenix home all to ourselves.

We wanted a place with plenty of room to come together, but also enough space to spread out when you want some time to think, work, or recharge on your own. With both private and shared rooms, a big outdoor space, heated pool and hot tub, sauna, gym, fire pit, and plenty of places to hang out, we’ll have lots of options for both work and play.

And Phoenix in November? Warm days, sunshine, and a pretty darn good excuse to spend some time outside before winter really kicks in.

Jessica Hutson

Jessica is a leadership coach, facilitator, and founder of Little Torch Leadership. Before starting her own business, she spent nearly a decade at Facebook (now Meta) and TikTok, where part of her work involved leading executives and their teams through annual planning, offsites, and other moments that required them to step away from the day-to-day, look at the bigger picture, and decide where to focus next.

Much of what we do at Solo Together is rooted in that experience, adapted for those of us who don’t have a leadership team, annual offsite, or company planning process built into our calendars.

Today, Jessica brings that same love of good questions, thoughtful reflection, and meaningful conversation to her work with leaders and teams, and to the spaces she creates for people to step back and think about what comes next.

FAQs

Do I need to be a coach to attend?

Nope. While many of us are coaches, Solo Together is for people who work for themselves or are actively building something of their own. What matters more is that you bring the curiosity, openness, and willingness to dig in that make coaching spaces so valuable.

No. You should have something you’re actively building and enough context to have real questions and decisions to work through, but your business doesn’t need to be fully formed or full-time.

We’ll kick things off Thursday afternoon with time to settle in, get to know each other, set intentions for the retreat, and share dinner together.

Friday is focused on stepping back: reflecting on the year behind you, looking ahead to what you want in 2027, and starting to define your priorities. We’ll also begin our Spotlight Sessions, where each person gets dedicated time to bring a real question, challenge, or decision to the group and tap into everyone’s perspectives and experience.

Saturday is about turning that bigger-picture thinking into action. You’ll build out your roadmap for 2027, identify your next steps, continue our Spotlight Sessions, and wrap up the work together. We’re also planning time for a sunset hike and plenty of space to enjoy the pool, sauna, fire pit, and each other’s company.

We’ll close Sunday morning over breakfast with time to reflect on what you’re taking with you before heading home.

The weekend is intentionally a mix of focused work, time together, and actual retreat time. We want you to leave having made real progress without feeling like you just spent three days in a conference room.

Your Solo Together registration includes three nights of accommodations, all retreat sessions and activities, a custom planning workbook, meals from Thursday dinner through Sunday breakfast, and snacks throughout the weekend.

You’ll be responsible for travel to and from Phoenix, including transportation between the airport and the house, along with any meals, drinks, or personal expenses outside of what’s provided as part of the retreat.

We’ll review your application and get back to you within a few days. If it feels like a good fit, we’ll send you an invitation to join Solo Together along with a link to make your payment and officially reserve your spot.

Your spot isn’t confirmed until payment is received.

The house is in Glendale, just outside Phoenix. If you’re flying, you’ll fly into Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) and arrange your own transportation to and from the house. It’s a ~20 minute drive from PHX.

Planning to drive or rent a car? Parking is available at the house. Just let us know ahead of time so we can plan accordingly.

Full payment is required to reserve your spot. $500 of your registration fee is nonrefundable.

  • If you cancel before October 1, 2026, you’ll receive a refund of the amount paid beyond the $500 nonrefundable portion.
  • Cancellations made on or after October 1, 2026 are nonrefundable.
  • All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to hello@littletorchleadership.com

Exceptions to our policy cannot be made for any reason. We do not offer credit for a guest arriving late or leaving early. We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance in case something unexpected prevents you from attending.

Retreat details are subject to change. While we don’t anticipate any major changes, we reserve the right to make adjustments to the schedule, activities, accommodations, or other retreat details as needed. If the retreat location changes, we’ll notify attendees as soon as possible and ensure any replacement accommodations are comparable.

In the unlikely event that Solo Together is canceled by the organizers, all retreat payments will be refunded in full. We are not responsible for travel or other expenses incurred in connection with the retreat, so we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance.

You don't have to figure it all out alone.

Step out of your day-to-day and into a space where you can think bigger, talk things through, make the important decisions, and build a plan for what comes next.
